The race
A UTMB-series event based in Kandersteg, offering six adult formats from 10 to 113 km with up to 6600 m of elevation gain. Starts are staggered across Kandersteg, Adelboden, Lenk, Leukerbad and Crans-Montana depending on the format, with all races finishing in Crans-Montana. The multi-village structure and the Glacier Marathon label on the 42 km route reflect the scale of terrain covered across the Bernese and Valaisan Alps.
