About
By a runner, for runners
Why kliva.run exists, and how the calendar stays current.
The story
kliva.run was born out of a simple frustration: finding trail races meant juggling a dozen scattered, often outdated sites, one per country, each in a single language. As a runner and developer, I decided to build the resource I was missing.
This started as a solo project: one person running Alpine trails at the weekend and writing code during the week. But a calendar this size only stays accurate with the people who run these races. kliva.run is built to grow with its community: add a missing race, fix a wrong date, flag a course that changed. The goal is a calendar runners keep sharp, together.
The goal is simple: every race, every region, in five languages. Fast. Clean. Free.
How it works
The calendar is built from both manual curation and community submissions. Every proposed race is reviewed by a human before it goes live. Nothing is published automatically.
What's next
Next up: race results and runner profiles, and community group runs organised through the platform. No dates promised: when it's ready, it's ready.
