The race
PASSIONATE TRAIL RUNNERS The Verbier Ultra finds its origin among a group of trail-passionate friends. Since day one, these dedicated volunteers within the 'Les Coureurs UltraSolidaires' association have contributed to turning this dream into reality. The Verbier Ultra, born in 2023, is the fruit of their ideas, their passion and their collective motivation to promote Verbier and the Val de Bagnes as a must-visit trail destination in Europe. After the great success of the first edition, which attracted more than 150 participants, the team shares an even deeper vision for the community: pushing limits, savouring the raw aspects of trail racing and living an authentic experience in the Val de Bagnes. Together, as friends of the trails, they have rethought the concept to infuse it with a sustainable dimension, in harmony with the local economy and the tourist actors of the region. Their goal is not only to ensure the longevity of the event, but also to offer a unique experience in the region. This is where the Traversée de Bagnes edition comes into being. An even more PURE, even more RAW experience, which allows you to return to the ESSENTIAL for a weekend.
