Welcome, trail friends! On Sunday, July 5, 2026, the 12th edition of the StrafeXpedition, a mountain race recognized by the UISP, will return. The Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities offer ideal terrain for trail running, with its many paths and beautiful high-altitude mule tracks. Here, history has left poignant testimonies of the First World War. A little over a century ago, these mountains became battlefields and the scene of horrible massacres. You will cross fortified paths, trenches, positions, barracks and various defensive structures. This is where the largest offensive ever organized by the Habsburgs took place, the “STRAFEXPEDITION”, the largest mountain battle ever fought by man.
