The race

The race starts from the Suwa Taisha Akimiya shrine in Shimosuwa. The long course traverses mountain trails with views of Lake Suwa, while the short course explores the satoyama countryside. Participants can enjoy the hot springs of the ancient relay towns of the Nakasendo.
