The race
The Kilomètre Vertical de Fully is a vertical kilometer race, defined as 1,000 meters of elevation gain over the shortest possible distance, performed against the clock. With a distance of 1,920 meters and an average slope exceeding 50%, it is considered the fastest vertical kilometer in the world. The course starts at Belle-Usine (500m) and finishes at Garettes (1,500m), passing through vineyards, meadows, and forest.
