The race
The Glacier 3000 Run is a point-to-point alpine mountain race starting in the village of Gstaad (1,050 m) and finishing at Scex Rouge on Glacier 3000 (2,950 m). The course climbs through dairy farms, forest trails and rolling single track through the village of Gsteig, then transitions to steep alpine hiking trails past an SAC mountain hut, and culminates with nearly a kilometre across snow and glacial ice. Multiple formats are offered: the main 26.2 km run, a Vertical KM, Alpine Nordic Walking, a Team Run, and a Gstaad Kids Run.
