The race
The Dartmoor Winter Traverse is a fully supported 50 km winter challenge crossing Dartmoor from south to north, passing through wild areas such as Red Lake and the sources of the Erme and Plym rivers. The event, organized by Climb South West, also offers a 30 km option and focuses on navigation and safety rather than competition, with qualified mountain guides to accompany participants.
