The race

Castle Alpine Trail Race (let's call it CAT, OK?) combines wide open vistas, rugged single track, off-trail running, and so much delicious climbing. While it isn't an extraordinarily long race distance-wise, CAT is like a schoolyard bully - it's going to rough you up and doesn't relent the whole day. This is a classic trail run covering two mountain summits and one of the most serene alpine valleys in the region.
