The race

The Alésia Trail starts in Alise-Sainte-Reine, beneath the statue of Vercingetorix, at the site of the Siege of Alesia. The course crosses the MuséoParc d'Alésia, the village of Flavigny-sur-Ozerain and the Haut-Auxois, alternating plateaus, steep valleys, forests and meadows with technical sections. The aid stations feature local specialties: gingerbread, snails and blackcurrants.
