The race
The 2X2 Race is the only race in Romania that takes place entirely above 2000 meters in altitude, making it extremely technical and one of the most difficult mountain ultramarathons in the world. The 45 km course with 4200 m of positive elevation gain crosses the two highest peaks in Romania, Moldoveanu and Negoiu, in the Făgăraș Mountains.
